About World Cup 2026 Predictor

World Cup 2026 Predictor is an independent project that forecasts every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup using a transparent statistical model rather than opinion. There are no hand-picked favourites and no editorial bias toward big nations. The same method runs for every team, from the tournament favourites to the smallest qualifier.

How the predictions are made

Each match is scored by a five-factor model: team strength from ELO ratings, recent form over the last ten internationals, attacking and defensive metrics, home advantage for the host nations, and head-to-head history. Group standings come from running ten thousand Monte Carlo simulations of the group, which turns those match probabilities into the odds of each team advancing. As real results come in, the model updates: finished group games are locked in, and knockout matchups follow the teams that actually progress. The full method is explained on the how it works page.

What it is not

These are statistical estimates, not certainties, and they are not betting tips. A team shown at sixty percent still loses four times out of ten. The site does not take bets, does not link to bookmakers, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA or any team or competition. Team names and flags are used only to identify the sides involved.

Where the data comes from

Rankings and ELO ratings follow public international football data. Recent form is drawn from an open results dataset, and head-to-head and live match data come from a football data provider. The fixtures, groups, and venues reflect the official 2026 World Cup draw and schedule.
